Causeway Hospital Radio (CHR) is a voluntary organisation dedicated to providing an in-house radio broadcasting service for the patients, staff and visitors at the new £55 million Causeway Hospital, which opened in the Spring of 2001. CHR is a recognised charity and is also a member of the UK Hospital Broadcasting Association (HBA), broadcasting daily from a professional studio centred at the heart of the Hospital. Our presenters deliver news, views, music requests, current affairs and short stories to our listeners and the good news is, our membership is growing as more and more people become aware of the vital role that CHR members play. A programme of Presenter Training is already under way with new members receiving guidance and direction on any particular programme idea they may have. |
