Brian Caul, aged 65, is a retired university manager. His interests include: walking and trekking in various countries; research into aspects of disability (which he still does on a voluntary basis with local and national organisations); golf, bowls, reading, live theatre, playing piano ( he has just resumed lessons after a gap of 50 years!); and attending Ulster Orchestra concerts. His music preferences range across standards of the Porter and Gershwin era , jazz, blues/rock , classical (particularly Chopin, Mozart, Beethoven and all the great Russians), folk from Woody Guthrie onwards, and big bands (both the swing bands and the great brass band tradition in the U.K.)
Brian is married with two grown-up daughters and lives in Coleraine.
