Life
in Causeway Hospital Radio
I
applied to join CHR after I retired from the Civil Service, as I
found I had plenty of spare time on my hands and a love of music.
After
being accepted, I initially did ward visits with 2 of the regular
staff, Sid and Iris, taking patients requests and passing them to the
studio.
I was
then offered the chance to train as a studio presenter, something
that did not come easy to an "anti-technobod" like myself.
One of
the presenters was the very talented David Blair, who took me under
his wing and to this day I assist him on his Sunday night show.
I now
have my own show - "Terry's All Gold" every Tuesday
afternoon, which appeals to those patients of "a certain age"
(who are the Arctic Monkeys anyway?!!)

hands, this is the place to be!
